Did you know that Midway, UT has an outdoor skating rink? No? Neither did we until we looked up places to see around Heber.
Joe and Ellen both went ice skating for the very first time this weekend! I was a happy observer. Ice skating isn't that much fun for me. :) When Ellen first stepped onto the ice she clung to Joe for her dear sweet life! She couldn't keep her balance. I was laughing with tears streaming down my face as I watched her attempt this weird thing.
She got much more confident and her dad was great to take her around and let her take breaks. Joe was pretty darn good for his first time too! He's got some skills.
It was a nice way to spend an afternoon. We looked around at some of the cute shops they have around and got some awesome bread from a local bakery!

Next time you go up, do the snorkeling in the crater. It's pretty cool. I would've been right there on the sidelines with you. Every time I put on ice skates I feel death is imminent.
Looks awesome - we'll have to check it out some time.
