Yesterday we decided to make breakfast and then go to the Big Red barn in South Santaquin for a Hayride Pumpkin Patch Bonanza. Following that we carved out some wickedly righteous pumpkins.
Here we were just chillin' as Angie made some rockin' pumpkin crepes. They were filled with delectable pumpkin filling, mouthwatering declicious vanilla cream cheese filling, or both. I didn't mention the cavity inducing buttermilk syrup that can turn a lemon into a yellow marshmallow. It was so very delicious.
When we got to the barn we guessed the weight of some gargantuan pumpkins. I guessed 425 lbs, angie guessed 615. It was 374 lbs or something like that. I didn't win the pie, but we did go and find some pumpkins. This is what we did with some of them.
Karl, Meagan, Josh, Launi, and Alex came over and we carved pumpkins while watching the Nightmare before Christmas. I was able to pull of the movie inspired pumpkin on the right. Karl did the skull and meagan did the cat. Angie grabbed some cookie cutters and layed into the pumpkin on the bottom. The real work was Boots the Monkey. We didn't have a pattern so Karl free handed one on the pumpkin with a dry erase marker. Meagan scooped out the guts, and I surgically removed the pieces around boots. It was fun
