We were invited to a BBQ and pool party last night by some neighbors in our ward. It was a good chance to visit with everyone we see on Sundays at church, but otherwise not so much. They made the biggest hamburgers I've EVER seen in my life. Ellen was so excited to see a pool and go swimming. We swam a little and then we took a break to eat some amazing food. While Joe and I were eating dinner and chatting away with neighbors Ellen jumped in the pool...a part that was deeper than her height times two! Joe ripped off his shirt and dived in the pool so fast! He did it before any of us had time to notice what had happened. I was a very proud wife! ;) After that we borrowed a kids life jacket that the people had on hand. She wasn't too keen on jumping in the water anymore. No surprise. There was a boy that is her age that was jumping off the diving board all by himself! He was awesome. (Don't worry his parents put him in a life jacket from the beginning...)
