I'm so glad you all responded!!!Now my attention is divided between Twilight series and the 2008 Olympics. I am lovin' life right now!! Of course I have enjoyed watching Michael Phelps and his intensity in all aspects. And surprisingly I have enjoyed Dalhausser and Rogers in beach volleyball. Very cool. In response to the good rush from the Olympics I got a crazy idea while Ellen and I were playing. (She got me running stairs! How weird is that. It was fun. )I noticed her old crib mattress sitting in the hallway and all of a sudden we were doing this:
I was having a hard time making myself push my daughter down a flight of stairs on a mattress. It kind of went against my motherly instinct. I am really gonna have to start loosening up a little bit more. So sorry for the hysterical laughing and the squeaking! Ellen didn't seem to be nervous at all. She's so brave.

I remember doing that very thing when I was young. We would use empty diaper boxes, sleeping bags, the crib mattress, pretty much anything we thought would slide really well. Sometimes we wouldn't use anything at all! The only downside was that there was a wall about 4 feet from the bottom stair and we kept busting holes in it. My dad would get mad and patch it up and finally he just put up plywood and painted over it--a lot sturdier than sheetrock to be sure.
