I really like electronics, and this picture of cyborg snake proves it. I like this picture. See, I told you. Anyways....for a long time I thought that everyone felt the same way about them as I did. Many people do, but I feel a little bit of a stronger connection to them than most. There is just some many cool......I digress. My favorites of course are the things that have to do with video games, movies, and music. i know, pretty typical. This little shpiel isn't about how cool some electronics are, but more about the frustrations of how cool these things aren't when they aren't working properly. Everyone out there has had there share of frustrations with 'em. Here's a few of mine to sympathize with.

My laptop was dropped, the screen went blank and after sending it to the manufacturer twice, it is finally back to it's usual temperament of shutting off periodically if I don't do everything just right. When I got my new phone a few months ago it had a ton of amazing features, but only 5 times. Then it was a monthly payment for them. I'm still bitter. I love console games, especially Nintendo, because I'm loyal to the hand that fed me all those years. I'd expand, but I have nightmares of being the 45 year-old fat guy pictured here. I limit myself to something that I think my whole family can get into and it's going well. The frustrating part is that I can't play great games for other systems with out loans and two extra jobs. One other frustration almost all of us have felt especially if you're from Richfield High School) is the format wars. PC or Mac. I hate them both yet, I come to their Siren call and am brutally devoured every time. *sigh* Very few things will give you eyes cavities quicker than the candy Mac produces for them, but the compatibility provided by a PC keeps you saying, "Thank you sir, can I have another?"

I'm sure if you're still reading this post you are wondering what brought this on. My TV broke. Once upon a time a little red-headed boy saw a big TV. He wanted it so much that it became a lifetime goal to obtain one(not the only goal keep in mind). One day it happened against all odds(he was married), this red-headed man, for he was a boy no longer a boy, reached this goal and obtained this TV. Then exactly 122 days past warranty this TV,this symbol of being able to achieve one's goals, broke. I'm sure it's fixable, but I planned to get at least 2 more years out of it. I think Ellen has turned it on and off too many times upsetting the Leprechauns that live inside the color wheel of the DLP. I just hope its cheap.
So, Yes Virginia, I do still love technology, but not as much as you, you see? Always and Forever.

Hello
Ned once totally smashed up a laptop out of complete frustration because it broke. I think he feels your pain, but I wouldn't recommend doing that with your tv.
amongst all of joe's toy's breaking both of our cars had issues last week. one flat tire, one broken muffle, and new brakes. fortunately good people our on our side. Kent helped us fix the cars. Grand total expense $55. $50 for brakes and rotar. $5 for everything else. :)
yeah, and it'll be a minumum of $150 to replace the tv bulb. Lame.
i'm so sorry about the tv loss. but i so enjoyed reading this clever and honest post.
I found a bulb on ebay for $100. The store wanted $185. Hopefully that's the problem.....
Poor red-headed boy/man.
Joe and Ang!
I'd call you, but I don't know your current phone number. And Angie isn't reading her e-mail. So I've resorted to this. Can you guys have a get together on the 19th? Place is still undecided. So is food. But there will be good food, and lots of food. ;)
