Hugamonkey

Hi Friends! Today we purchased some Hugamonkey slings from a great friend of mine Leah. Angie will tell you why later. I just wanted to say how cool these are. We've been wanting to get one, but decided to wait until we had a new baby, but since that didn't happen like we planned, we never did. So we decided to get one today. I just happen to know the owner and CEO of Hugamonkey. As a matter on fact, I used to walk into her house at 6:30 in the morning to wake her up and give her a ride to school. I was able to take a tour of the factory to see the Hugamonkey magic in action. It was fantastic to say the least. I would like to not only endorse this indispensable product, but I would also like to share my experience, and give you all a glimpse into the lives of the people that have made the Hugamonkey empire what it is today.
The setting is a pre-apocalyptic Orem, UT (except 8th north, that's been at the Mad Max level for 2 years now! Some of you know what I mean,) where the Scera Shell is an icon and penguins chew glass. I met up with our host at the Hugamonkey headquarters located on the East side of town, a place some say businesses are just waiting to thrive. This is an internet based company, and I was excited to be given to the chance to see how the company worked. I was allowed to bring my wife, Angie, and my daughter Ellen along with me (cute girl pictured above). After receiving preferred parking, making it through the highly fortified gates of the facility, and checking in at the front entrance with security, we were admitted into this magnificent building that houses a recording studio, a fully stocked kitchen, a nursery for the employees, and yes, of course the Hugamonkey hot spot itself.

Leah, the founder of Hugamonkey, invited us in like it was her own home... We were greeted by a wealth of familiar faces, it was if I knew everyone there and had seen them before. After briefly chatting, and a bit of catching up, we proceeded down the stairs to the sweatshop of 3rd world children where the magic is made. All of the children were home for the evening, putting an end to the vicious rumors that Leah is a fierce task mistress who whips children 24 hours a day. "My arm gets really tired after whipping from 4 AM to 6 PM. I just can't get the same snap sound after that, so I send them home," Leah said. "I am really stoked for the new Indiana Jones movie, I hear he lets loose a new snapping technique that will hopefully increase our productivity 50 fold!" She let my wife try on several of the different styles, the patterns are great, going from plain tan to some awesome organic materials with great patterns. Angie instantly fell in love with the brown organic leaves style and chose a black one to 'go with everything.' I then drilled this self made success story on styles for men. "We got them." she said. I told her that earth tones were really my cup of tea, and she searched through the vast inventory only to find that the particular color I was yearning for to be sold out in my size. Without hesitation this master of service proved why she is the at the top of her class. "Give me five minutes, and I'll sew one for you." I inquired why she would subject herself to such a menial task, 'Why not just call a hungry child from down the street?' I asked. "It's no problem, Joe! Besides, they don't have phones, and my voice is gone from shrieking at them all day, they wouldn't be able to hear me." In what seemed like the blink of an eye, I had my very own Hugamonkey sling designed, measured, and fit just for me. It was a real treat to be able to have a custom Hugamonkey sling made by the brainchild of the franchise. We went to the stable to pick up our daughter from her horse riding and tried the Hugamonkey on. A perfect fit! After saying our goodbyes and checking out with security (who hangs out by their door 24/7), we left the Hugamonkey home pleased.

It was a great and with all sincerity, it was fun. I hope you enjoyed this review of the coolest sling in the world. Most of it is true, but it really is a great product and a great way to hold kids. Thanks for letting us hang with you Leah and Fam! If anyone wants to look these up, there is a few (16) links through out this post to the website.

i had seen leah's site and wondered if the slings were worth the price. i know they're not that expensive, but i am super cheap. plus, who wants to buy some other stuff when you can buy new jeans for your new skinnier bum? (ang, you feel me, right? joe and any other guys, please forget you ever read that sentence). however, after this scintillating review, i feel i simply must purchase one. or maybe it's because the chunk i carry around all day is killing my arms and back. either way. here i go, off to hugamonkey.com!

The hours are actually 3 am to 7 pm, Joe. The kids got off early on holiday when you came.

My mistake, I sure hope all of the other information was factually correct.
