This was the first official Joe and Angie Reedy family Christmas. It was so much fun! We began our own traditions. One is not too surprising, but it's new Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve, because we all love our pajamas. The other one is also for Christmas Eve. I bought each of us a special box that we will use year after year, as long as the box will last, that the other members of the family must fill with a gift for that person. So on Christmas Eve we opened our two gifts. We had planned on watching VeggieTales: The Toy that Saved Christmas, but it got lost in the mail so we opened what we could tell was a movie from our very good friends, Josh and Launi Leavitt. It was "A Christmas Story" the movie. So we enjoyed watching that. This first picture is of Ellen while the movie was going.
Joe and I got up around 5:30 on Christmas morning and woke up Ellen. She was a little groggy, but we gave her some yummy hot chocolate to help her wake up. This next picture is of her wearing her new Christmas slippers, sitting in her new bean bag chair, and holding a porcelain doll she get from her great aunt Bonnie and uncle Butch.
We each got to help her open some gifts. It was so fun to open all the presents!!
We had a wonderful Christmas day with eachother. It's the beginning of years to come of wonderful memories.

you guys are dedicated Christmas parents for waking up at 5:30....before Ellen!! I think we'll let ours sleep in as long as possible!! How was California?
