Angie: The Professional Snowboarder
Well lemme tell ya this was an experience that I'm glad we had.
I've been trying to get Angie to go snowbarding with me for quite some time now, and finally on a whim, she said sure. We went and got her some great deals on gear from Gart Sports Additional 40% off sale as modeled by the beautiful Angie. We'd like to once again thank Aimee for watching the little one while we hit the slopes. We drove up to Sundance and rented her boots and a board then after we got our lift passes Angie wanted me to show her a few things before we went up on the lift, so I did, but there wasn't a lot I could show her without actually going up the hill somehow. So after about half of an hour, she got on the lift with me and away we went.
We went all the way to the top for three reasons: 1- Less People, 2- Softer Snow, 3- Most of the hills at the top are just as difficult to go down as the ones below. Here is a view of the beautiful Heber Valley. This is Angie standing at the top pretending not to be scared. This is me and my hot self. So we got to the top of the mountain at about 2:30-3:00 and we got done with our first run a about 4:30-5:00, just to let ou know how long this process took.
As hard as she tried, Angie couldn't get the hang of standing up so I went down backwards the entire way holding her up and it was fun. We did really good until the very end when the lip of my snowboard got caught on something(I was backwards, hard to see where I was going,) and I flew on my back and nailed poor Ang in the ribs with my board. She's ok though, she's a real trooper, she's got such a strong..one...leg. I'm glad she went with me.
It was a little frustrating for both of us, but we did get through it ok & had some fun when she wasn't terrified of dying. The main thing is we learned more about and understand each other better. I love you Angie, and I'd totally go backwards down a mountain with you anytime....but I'll wait until you want to go.
