So Ellen has done three amazing things this week. The picture shows one of them. She can grab a cup on her own and drink from it. We just can't feel it with more liquid equal to one baby Ellen gulp.
Another thing is that Ellen no longer uses the binki! Joe and I were getting worried about taking it away from her especially as she is getting older and learning more and more and her memory is developing more so one day things played out right where she didn't get a binki and so we got rid of them all. It was easy. That was lucky!!
The third and most exciting thing Ellen did was she said her first word!!! And it just happens to be the first word I said. "Uh-oh!" It's so cute when she says it. All of her baby talk is starting to develop into real words. It's so amazing to see how smart Ellen is. She is learning so much and can do so many things. Yesterday we were at her aunt Alecia's house. Leash gave Ellen some raquetballs to play with. She showed Ellen how to put one of the balls back into little canister/case thingy. Immediately Ellen tried to do it. We were both so impressed! And even though Ellen is learning how to do things on her own and all that she's still the sweetest baby girl.
